5 Things You Have to do Before Summer Ends

I can not believe that summer is a month from being over… where did it go?! This weekend I realized that I have to start planning how I am going to spend the rest of my summer to make the most of it. I wanted to share the top 5 things on my end of summer bucket list so you can add them to yours too!

1. Drive In Movie (or movie night in):

The drive in is such a fun and unique way to watch a movie. If you have never been to one, it’s definitely something that you should look into! I went to my first drive in in college and it was something we started to do almost every other week! Pack your car with pillows and blankets, snacks and your friends or family and make some memories! The best part of the drive in is that most offer double features for the price of one and the tickets are normally cheaper than other theaters!

2. Carnival/Fair:

Nothing screams summer more than carnival food, concerts on the grass and amusement rides. Before the summer ends, scope out the closest carnivals and fairs and maybe even take a trip to one you haven’t been to before. We love going to the NYS fair because it’s huge and you can make a whole day out of it. The NYS fair has student tickets so check if your fair does too and you may be able to save a few bucks!

3. U Pick Farms:

U pick farms are so much fun and there is nothing as satisfying as making something with ingredients you picked yourself. Yesterday we went to OCSH Orchard in Warwick, NY and they had all sorts of fruits and vegetables you could pick. We picked blueberries, raspberries, eggplant, green peppers, peaches, and prunes. They also had tomatoes, garlic and more! Last night we made a blueberry pie and it was absolutely delicious! My favorite blueberry pie recipe is this one. I use the recipe for the filling and just put it into a graham ready crust from the store and let it cool in the fridge for a few hours. It is so good and best with fresh berries.

4. Theme/Water Park:

If you don’t visit a theme or water park one last time before summer ends, you will regret it when they are closed at the end of the season. We are planning a trip to one of my favorite water parks in August so we can soak up the sun and cool off on the water slides one last time before the season ends!

5. Picnic:

Picnics are such a cheap and easy way to spend time with friends, family or your significant other. If you don’t want to pack a lunch, grab your favorite takeout and eat it at a park. There’s nothing like a lunch with the view of the river.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer! Do you have anything exciting planned?! Let me know in the comments!!

P.S. Did you notice my new logo and new look on the site? I’m so excited about my plans for the blog! I have been slacking on posting but not on planning new fun content! 😉

Have a wonderful day!
