Tasty Tuesday: Frooze Balls Vegan Protein and Energy Balls

Hello, Donnas!

I am thinking about starting a new series on my blog called Tasty Tuesday, where I will be sharing a new vegan food item, a recipe or restaurant that I have recently tried! Becoming vegan has been such a fun transition for me and I think it will be fun to make it a permanent series on my blog so you will know when to expect a post about a vegan product! I’m also going to be creating a more solid schedule, which I will be sharing soon as the month comes to an end.

This week, I am spotlighting a snack that I have been loving lately! The CEO of Frooze Balls, Cherie, sent me some samples to try out and share with you all! Frooze balls were created in a plant-based cafe called Revive Cafe in New Zealand and are now available to customers in the U.S.- how exciting! They are plant-based energy balls that are suitable for virtually any diet since they are dairy-free, vegan, kosher suitable, gluten-free, and GMO-free! They are also free of refined sugar, processed protein powders, and preservatives, which is one heck of an added bonus!! They come in six flavors: dark forest, salted maple, lemon cheesecake, mint & cacao, peanut butter and fudgetastic!

To be honest, I am the pickiest of eaters when it comes to protein and energy bars. I am not a fan of the texture of most of them and usually, the flavor seems artificial. I have tried countless brands of protein bars and none of them have caught my attention. As a vegan, it is important that you get protein into your meals and it’s not always easy when you’re on the go or don’t want to chef up a crazy meal.

I was pleasantly delighted by the fact that the ingredients in Frooze balls are all transparent and good for your body! I was just snacking on the mint & cacao flavor and the ingredients are: dates, cashew nuts, sunflower seeds, almonds, raw cacao (12%), coconut, Himalayan salt, peppermint oil and natural flavor… you can’t beat it! Also, this flavor is my absolute favorite so far- it tastes just like mint chocolate chip ice cream, which is something I haven’t had in such a long time! Although the mint & cacao is my favorite, the peanut butter flavor is definitely a close second! It’s important for me to note that these balls do not have any of the dense protein texture that other comparable protein bars have- MAJOR WIN considering there is over 1g of protein in each ball (5 balls in each package)!!

It’s a no-brainer that these are a great snack to add to your lunch when you’re on the go and also convenient when you have had a low protein day and need a boost or are working out and trying to get even more protein in your diet! I definitely think that you should give them a try and I have a link for you to shop through to get 20% off variety packs on Amazon as an incentive to try them out! When you shop through this link, you will get one packet of each of the six flavors for only $11.99 + free prime shipping, making each pack only $2 each! I think these are such a convenient, filling snack and can’t wait for you to try them. If you buy some Frooze Balls of your own, let me know what your thoughts are in the comments.

What is your favorite thing about Frooze Balls? I love the amount of protein in them as a vegan snack!

Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful day!

In a world where you can be anything, be kind.

Until next time,

Chelsea
