If you read my 50 Fun Fall Date Ideas post or My Fall To Do List, you’ll know that I love picking apples and pumpkins in the fall. I was born and raised in upstate New York and had multiple local apple orchards with pumpkins to pick everywhere. The best part is, they are dirt cheap! After moving to New York City, I realized that the places around the city jack up the prices and they are quite a hike from the city. Toto, we aren’t in Syracuse anymore!
We decided to skip out on going apple and pumkin picking this year and instead take a trip up to my hometown next year to pick some from my favorite farm!
That being said, I couldn’t settle with not even taking pictures with and of pumpkins this year. So instead of going to a cutesy little farm and the middle of nowhere, I snapped some photos at Home Depot and Costco today while doing errands! It’s funny how social media can make things look so perfect. If I hadn’t told you, you probably would have thought I visited the most beautiful little pumpkin patch… but I’m not one to butter things up! Instead, let me show you how funny behind the scenes of blogging can look.
Alright, enough about the pumpkins… can we talk about how gorgeous this sweater is?! It’s a fall showstopper! I love the rust color, fringe detailing and mock turtleneck! If you want one of your own so we can be fall twins, click here! I paired this sweater with a pair of black wash skinny jeans from G.H. Bass (can’t find any similar ones). I also am wearing my booties from Kohl’s. You can purchase those beauties here.
In my opinion, accessories can be the difference between a cute outfit and a perfect outfit! I skipped a necklace with this outfit because I’m not a fan of turtlenecks with necklaces but I did wear my new Guess Jeans bangle that sold like Hot Cakes with the T Mobile Tuesday promotion. This bangle is a gorgeous dupe of the David Yurman bangles and I hope they restock them so you guys can take advantage of the deal of a lifetime!
I’m also wearing my favorite elephant ring from an art show I went to. I wish I know who made it because I would love some more of his work! The peridot Swarovski crystal expandable ring is Alex and Ani and one of my absolute faves! Although I got this a few years ago, they still sell them! You can snag one here.
So although I didn’t get the complete pumpkin patch experience, I still got some cute photos this fall. I hope you like my fave fall outfit and enjoyed that cute little pumpkin!
Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful weekend! Do you have any fun fall festivities planned for this weekend? Let me know in the comments!
Remember, love yourself and then share that love with others!
